Maureen Denise McCormick is the younger daughter of Richard McCormick. She was born on August 5th, 1956 on the outskirts of Woodland Hills California. Her family consisted of her mother, who was household worker and father who taught. Michael Dennis Kevin, her two older brothers. McCormick began dancing and singing at an early age and frequently performed plays with puppets for the children from her neighborhood. When McCormick was six years older, she was crowned the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley pageant. Pat Domigan at Jack Wormser Agency called to ask her if she would like to enter the show business. Her first major role came during 1964, when she appeared in a TV commercial for Mattels baby doll, Baby Pattaburp. In the same year, she starred in another television commercial for Chatty Cathy's doll. After that, she was cast at La Jolla Playhouse to play the role of Wind It up and It breaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick won an audition in 1969 from over 1,200 youngsters to be the youngest of three twins on The Brady Bunch TV series The Brady Bunch, starring Florence Henderson as a newlywed with Robert Reed. The show ran for five years. McCormick said in her 2008 book Heres the Story : Surviving Marcia Brady & Finding My True Voice that she nearly losing her virginity in the fifth season of the show with Barry Williams, her co-star and on-screen brother. The actress was only 16 when she was in the scene; he was 19. The woman said it might have been feasible, but we never had the right time to do it.
